WeGIF
WeGIF is a social networking website which I co-founded in 2007. Users can create animations by uploading images, videos and webcam snapshots and share them in various ways. The project runs on Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services.
The animation creator tool is built in Flash using ActionScript 3 and allows users to upload photos or use a webcam to capture frames, then arrange and edit them together into an animated flipbook. Features drag and drop, image filters, realtime preview, bitmap encoding and communicates via AMF with the WeGIF servers. The WeGIF pages let people rate, comment and use a variety of social features. The animations can be embedded on pages using the WeGIF embeddable player.
